Jason Gibson

Jason Gibson is a seasoned trial attorney with over twenty-five years of experience fighting for the rights of individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and workplace accidents. As the founder of The Gibson Law Firm, Jason has built a reputation as a fierce advocate, relentlessly pursuing justice for his clients. His career has been defined by his unwavering commitment to telling the stories of those whose voices might otherwise go unheard.

Growing up as the grandson of a pipefitter, Jason was inspired early on by the struggles of working-class families. This personal connection to labor and workers’ rights sparked his passion for helping those who find themselves at the mercy of negligent corporations and unsafe workplaces. He believes every person, no matter their background or status, deserves fair treatment, and he brings that belief into every case he takes on. His commitment to this cause was cemented when he founded The Gibson Law Firm in 1998, where he has led the firm to a series of landmark victories for his clients. By the time he was 31, Gibson had accumulated more than $80 million in settlements and verdicts for his clients.

Jason is best known for his ability to humanize the individuals he represents, making their stories resonate with juries and ensuring that their pain is understood. His unique talent lies in his ability to weave each client’s experience into a compelling narrative, creating emotional and powerful case presentations. This skill is further enhanced by his background in acting, which has sharpened his ability to read a room, connect with jurors on an emotional level, and deliver his clients' stories with authenticity and impact. His understanding of character, timing, and delivery allows him to craft narratives that not only inform but also move and persuade. This ability has been instrumental in securing some of the largest verdicts and settlements in Texas and the U.S., including a Number 1 Texas Verdict in 2016 for a construction accident and a Top 10 Texas Verdict in 2010 for a workplace burn injury case.

A frequent presence in the media, Jason’s work and legal expertise have garnered widespread attention. He is regularly featured in major news outlets, including The Washington Post, NBC News, ABC 13 News, and Fox News, where he provides commentary on high-profile cases, such as the Houston Fifth Ward Cancer Cluster and workers’ rights issues. His media appearances have made him a trusted source for those seeking insight into pressing legal matters and social justice issues.

An advocate for workers’ rights, Jason has served as the President of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer. His tireless advocacy has earned him recognition as one of the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys in the country and as a leader in mass torts and product liability law. He has received numerous accolades, including being featured as one of Houston’s “Top Lawyers for the People” by H Texas Magazine.

Jason’s passion for the law extends beyond the courtroom. He has been deeply involved in the legal community, serving on multiple boards, including the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. As an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center, Jason mentored the next generation of trial attorneys, imparting his knowledge and passion for justice to aspiring lawyers.

Through his tireless work, Jason has become a champion for those who need it most — workers injured on the job, families who have lost loved ones, and individuals who have been harmed by negligence. His approach is simple but powerful: tell the story, fight for justice, and make a difference.
